Filtration

A swimming pool must be filtered to remove insoluble particles and to produce clear water. Clear water is desirable not only for aesthetic reasons, but for hygiene and safety. Water may be sparkling clean, but contaminated with disease carrying organisms, or it may be hygienically safe but look murky and uninviting. Water must be biologically and physically clean. Filtration alone cannot achieve this. Chemical treatment alone cannot achieve this.
